Hua Hin railway station is one of oldest railway stations in Thailand. The railway line to Hua hin was built around 1920. The most prominent feature of the station is the Royal Waiting Room which was built in the reign of King Rama the 6th. The building is constructed with teak wood, features traditional Thai architecture and rich colors. Originally, the waiting room was located at a royal palace in a different part of Thailand but was later relocated to Hua Hin. The waiting room was built to welcome the King on his arrival at the station. As the station is one of the most prominent buildings in Hua Hin, it is often the location of events and ceremonies. It Takes about 4 hours to reach the station from Bangkok?s Hua Lampong. The train ride can be long and slow, so you may want to consider catching a bus. As you exit Hua Hin station you ?nd the main road, and can begin the journey in to Hua Hin. Hua Hin beach is just a short 10 minute walk from the station.
