The railway line to Hua hin was built around 1920.
The most prominent feature of the station is the Royal Waiting Room which was
built in the reign of King Rama the 6th.
The building is constructed with teak wood, features traditional Thai architecture
and rich colors.
Originally, the waiting room was located at a royal palace in a different part of Thailand
but was later relocated to Hua Hin. The waiting room was built to welcome the King on
his arrival at the station.

location of events and ceremonies.
