Video Transcript
Khao Takiab beach is about 7 kilometers south of Hua Hin.
The area is known for its wide beaches and flat sands.
You can often see squid fishing boats operating in the waters.
Khao Takiab beach is dotted with condominium buildings that are occupied by expatriates and Thais.
The most striking landmark is the 20 meter high statue of Buddha at the base of the cliff.
As you approach the hill from the beach, a small shrine with a memorial to King Rama the 5th inside.
The varying hand gestures of Buddha have many different meanings in Buddhism, but some say the large golden Buddha with flat palms extended outward was built on the beach at Khao Takiab to have an calming effect on the ocean.
The waters of the ocean at Khao Takiab are calm and warm.
It is truly a great place to spend the day relaxing with the family. More guides soon from HuaHin.TV
